About the Recipe
Korean BBQ Short Ribs or Galbi makes for a wonderful and delicious meal at home. Place these on top of freshly steamed rice and top with a sunny side up egg.
Extra olive oil (for grill grates)
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons raw or brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
1-2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped scallions
Mix marinade and place into a gallon bag or large bowl with sliced steak.
Add 2lbs of Korean Short Ribs to marinade.
Let steak marinate for at least 20 minutes or overnight.
Pour extra virgin olive oil over steak on a stick. Coat thoroughly.
Heat charcoal or gas grill to high heat. Cook short ribs over high heat for about 5-7min each side, flipping and rotating (over highest heat) as necessary.
Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before eating
