This delicious and easy to make Korean BBQ recipe will be a sure fire hit at your next gathering.
2lbs wagyu flank steak
12 8in skewers
Extra olive oil (for grill grates)
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons raw or brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 teaspoon Asian sesame oil
1-2 teaspoons grated peeled fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup chopped scallions
Place wooden skewers into water and let soak for at least 20 minutes.
Cut chilled wagyu flank steak into 1" strips. Cut steak against the grain.
Mix marinade and place into a gallon bag or large bowl with sliced steak.
Let steak marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Run skewer through the center of the steak strip.
Pour extra virgin olive oil over steak on a stick. Coat thoroughly.
Heat charcoal or gas grill to high heat. Cook steak sticks over high heat for about 1-2 min / side, flipping and rotating (over highest heat) as necessary.
Allow to cool for 2-3 minutes before eating
