About the event
A WHIRLWIND OF WAGYU TASTING TOUR. Before your booking, we will meet with you to present our Resident Chef Portfolio which contains each chef’s resume details and their proposed Wagyu Tasting menu. You will have the opportunity to select the Resident Chef of your choice and refine their Wagyu Tasting menu to meet your party’s dietary restrictions. On the day of your Wagyu Tasting Tour, you and your guests will join us at the Main House at 5:00pm and we’ll be off on Part I of your private Ovoka Farm Tour (5 - 6pm) – your choice, walk or 4-wheel-drive (or a combination, if you like) up and around Paris Mountain. Your tour of the farm and its landmarks, its animals, and operations will give you insight to sustainable farming practices and the importance of implementing these practices to create security in our regional food system — plus, you get a behind the scenes look at real life on a real cattle farm! We’ll end your tour at the top of the mountain for a spectacular, evening panoramic view of the entire Valley.
After your descent off the mountain, we’ll return to the Main House for Part II of your Whirlwind of Wagyu Tour where you’ll enjoy hor’s d'oeuvres in the sunroom or on our courtyard. Your personally selected Resident Chef will then welcome you to your Whirlwind of Wagyu Tasting Menu and escort you to the main Dining Room furnished with its 16-person dining table from the late 18th Century. As the sun starts to set with exploding colors through the windows of the Dining Room, your Wagyu Tasting Menu will be executed and flawlessly presented to you.
After dinner, retire to the cherry room for after-dinner drinks. The home is appointed with beautiful antiques from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries to maintain its historic character, yet remains friendly and comfortable — we want you to feel at home while visiting our home.
